GLOBAL CORPORATE SOLUTIONS:

Reporting to the Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Administrative Officer, the Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) integrates the functions of Corporate Security, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Services to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

ABOUT THE UNIT:

GCS Corporate Services’ mission is to support the World Bank Group’s strategic agenda by delivering high-quality corporate services provided to WBG VPUs and individual staff. GCS Corporate Services (GCSCS) seeks to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery through stronger integration and streamlined processes. Service delivery is heavily outsourced to external vendors. GCSCS seeks to obtain the best overall value and results for the WBG, while also promoting innovation and socially and environmentally sustainable practices.

To achieve its purpose, GCSCS is structured into four main divisions (I) Travel and Staff Services, (II) Integrated Business Services; (III) Innovation and Client Solutions; and (IV) Global Business Centers.

GCSCS Innovation and Client Solutions (GCSIS) team includes the GCS Service Desk, the Processing and Analytics team, Client Support and Project Management teams, and teams supporting Change Management, GCS Learning, and Innovation.

The Program Manager, Change Management will play a key role in managing change management for GCS’ Corporate Real Estate portfolio. The Corporate Real Estate (GCSCR) team is responsible for the strategic management of the World Bank Group’s global real estate portfolio. As the organization continues to expand and refine its real estate strategy, effective change management and communication are critical to ensuring successful implementation, stakeholder alignment, and staff engagement. This position will be responsible for facilitating this transition by developing and executing communication strategies, engaging stakeholders, and tracking effectiveness. This experienced change management and communications lead will implement a change management strategy, develop tailored communications materials (e.g., presentations, email communications, marketing materials), and work in close partnership with the project team to advise them on engagement opportunities. A strategic mindset, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing change are key. This role will support the One World Bank Group Corporate Real Estate initiative, which includes expanded facilities management, new office space standards, and other key real estate initiatives.

The position will be based in Vienna, Austria. The selected candidate will report to Manager, Innovation and Client Solutions, GCSIS. The candidate will work closely with Senior Program Manager, Sustainability, Communications and Employee Engagement, GCSCR.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support the expansion and realignment of the corporate real estate portfolio.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping and engagement planning to ensure seamless integration of changes.
  • Design, write, produce, and disseminate complex communications products tailored for internal WBG audiences, including email messages, presentations, web content, internal news and success stories, brochures, multi-media products, FAQs, talking points, and communications toolkits.
  • Ensure alignment of messaging with GCSCR’s real estate strategy and broader organizational goals.
  • Liaise and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (including project teams, impacted units, ECR, etc.). to ensure cohesive messaging, engagement and smooth adoption of changes.
  • Convene and facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings to support the tracking and delivery of key initiatives.
  • Using a range of tools and tactics (e.g. scorecards, web usage reports, surveys, client focus groups, polls), track and analyze effectiveness of internal communications and engagement activities, and proactively identify activities and channels to target gaps in awareness and knowledge.
  • Conceptualize, organize, facilitate, and participate in internal communications and engagement activities and events, organizing townhalls and training sessions to support stakeholder awareness and engagement.
  • Other change management related strategies and tasks, as identified by GCSIS Manager.
